WHAT IS AMBER?
WHAT IS AMBER?
Amber is a fossilised tree resin that has been preserved for millions of years under the sea and contains some of the highest concentrations of Succinic Acid found in nature. It is 100% natural material with no harsh treatments or chemicals used in the processing and is 40-50 million years old.
SOURCE
SOURCE
Our jewellery is original Baltic Amber, handmade locally in Hawkes Bay, NZ.
The beads are ethically sourced from a few small, family run business in Lithuania on the coast of the Baltic Sea. The amber undergoes regular testing from a Gemologist for authenticity.
WHY AMBER
WHY AMBER
Wearing the beads on our warmed skin will release Succinic acid (from the amber) into the blood stream, which is known to relieve pain and discomfort.
We also believe that having a gemstone from the earth on your skin is incredible grounding for our energy systems.
SIZING
SIZING
You do NOT want your necklace to be too tight nor too loose, where baby can pull it into their mouth. About a 2-3 finger gap is perfect for the necklaces so that is snug, with maximum contact with the skin and not long enough to put in their mouth.
SAFETY
SAFETY
The beads are NOT made to suck or chew on.
Amber is 100% non toxic and if a baby was to bite/break a bead off, this can be classed as a choking hazard.
If swallowed, rest assured this will do no hard internally and will most likely poo it out, advise your doctor if you think baby has swallowed a bead.
It is advised to remove from baby when sleeping or when unattended.
It is designed to break, should it become entangled. Each bead has been individually knotted so if the necklace does break the rest of the beads will still be secure. Fastens with a screw clasp
